Visual Options for Your
Custom Wedding Poem
Your original, custom-crafted wedding poem will be printed on your choice of hand-letterpressed paper stock. It will then be matted and framed to your specifications, selected from the options below. You may also request a printed but unframed poem, or an electronic version only, which can then be used for invitations, programs, thank-you notes, or for a wide variety of other purposes.
In fact, you can request anything you want. If you have a different vision for your final product — such as different sizing, framing, ink color, or printing method — just let me know what you have in mind and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Letterpressed Stock
The three background themes were designed and hand-letterpressed by Tiger Food Press, an artist-owned studio in Portland, Oregon. These extraordinary pressings are done on 118-pound cover Reich’s Savoy, an acid-free, archival, 100% pure cotton stock crafted by family-owned Reich Paper in Brooklyn, New York. Reich’s Savoy is biodegradable and made from repurposed cotton linters left over from the textile industry. The stock is letter-sized (8.5 x 11 inches). Your original poem will be printed in black ink onto your choice of letterpressing using archival pigments. NOTE: grey border will not appear on final product.
Matting
You have six choices of matting color. The matting is archival grade, made with a 100% virgin alpha-cellulose surface. The acid-free and lignin-free mats are conservation quality, and will not yellow over time. The combination of stock and frame allow for roughly 1.5 inches of matting on each side of the letter pressing.
Frames
You have eight framing options. The Reclaimed Barnwood frames are crafted from re-purposed wood from Colorado barns and fenceposts. The Appalachian Barnwood frames are faux barnwood crafted from genuine pine, and the Walnut frames are crafted from genuine hardwood walnut. The Oak frames are genuine oak. The Natural, Honey, and Midnight frames are crafted using eco-friendly composite. Each frame has an 11 x 14 inch opening, though the width of the frames vary slightly based on style. The Oak frames are roughly an inch wide, while the others are roughly two inches wide.
